EEG Tech I -
The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician I of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under direct supervision of the EEG Coordinator or designee, the EEG Technician I records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system.

EEG Tech II -
The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician II of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under indirect supervision of the EEG Coordinator or MD, the EEG Technician II records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system.

EEG Tech III -
The Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist III of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Registered EEG Technologist III records, by means of electronic equipment, neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system. Must be board eligible for Registry in EEG according to ABRET guidelines within two years of employment. Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.EEG Tech II -Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology; or eligible for National Board Certification; or any combination of education and experience that warrants eligibility for National Board Certification required. - Must obtain EEG certification or CNIM within 2 years of employment or 1 year of board eligibility. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.EEG Tech III -Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent and registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET required and must be maintained. One year EEG Technician work experience required.
