With its products, the company contributes to reducing emissions, protecting the climate and enhancing safe mobility.Quality Engineer (Plant)Country/Region: USLocation:Charleston, SC, US, 29418Req ID 65521 - North Charleston, SC, United StatesAbout the TeamWe are looking for a Quality Engineer to work at our North Charleston, SC location.What you can look forward to as a Quality EngineerManage customer relationship and interface for all quality related topicsResponsible for process audits and driving zero defect mindsetResponsible for developing overall quality processes in plantLead the IATF 16949 certification process of planManage Quality Management Systems, certifications and auditsManage the PPAP and Record of Conformance processManage the customer complaint and nonconforming material processesRespond to customer initiated NCMR's and SCAR's and ensure timely and accurate feedbackEnsure all Customer Specific Requirements are metProvide quality system orientation training to new hiresManage the process and product audit functionManage the process for quality audits scheduled by customersInitiate corrective action request for customer complaints, nonconforming material returns and warranty claimsFollow-up for PPM and Incident Rate targetsTimely delivery of required reporting of KPI'sYour profile as Quality EngineerCertified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt preferredBachelor's in Engineering required3-5 years minimum experience in quality function working in Automotive industry or other fast paced manufacturing plantExperience as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier or working with a vehicle manufacturerExperience in leading TS certification preferredISO 9001 experience preferredExperience with PPAP and APQP preferredUnderstanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) concepts and applications preferreKnowledge of FMEA, control plans, R&R studies, fail safe systems preferredProficient in use of Microsoft Office Software preferredAbility to work in teams and multi-tasking capabilities preferredWhy you should choose ZF in North Charleston Our technologies and services for commercial vehicles and fleets make them more efficient, safe, connected, intelligent and automated wherever they operate.
