45 million students worldwide. Position Overview:This role performs
data/content digital production work when migrating data from a new
school district client to one of the Destiny products. The
responsibilities include data receiving and auditing, repair and
processing, quality review, delivery/deployment, and maintenance
using advanced data proficiency and experience. Organizes incoming
new school district data into manageable jobs for conversion to the
Follett Destiny product platform. Works on all levels of types of
data assignments from routine to complex and ensures attention to
detail for all new clients. As a subject matter expert, can
identify and instruct on alternative approaches to the work when
encountering abnormal conditions in data. They can deviate from
standard processes to address problem situations when warranted.
Work results are required to meet defined quality standards
according to defined schedules or standard turn-around times. Job
Duties:Data ServicesParticipate in the daily production operations
activity within assigned workflow areas
- Analyzes and interprets school district data to glean insights
and recommends appropriate Data Services needs and solutions to
Implementation team/Sales/Customers
- Monitors, evaluates, and assesses the complexity of incoming
data sets from school districts and reports on the results
- Collaborates with Sales/Project Management/Implementation Team
to review data conversion needs, timeline, and mapping schema.
- Converts & manipulates data from a variety of proprietary
school district software vendors/systems into a Destiny product
platform.
- Monitors and tracks work progress on assigned cases through
Salesforce to ensure project deadlines are met; discusses job
priorities with sales and implementation teams.
- Creates reports for school district customers/sales based on
requirements to provide the best possible outcome during
implementation. Works closely with customers/sales to gather report
requirements and ensure proper testing validation.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for data, supporting and
assisting team members with knowledge, experience, and process
standards as required.Process improvement measures for assigned
workflow areas
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and
work product quality. Form and present improvement ideas to the
Manager/Supervisor for consideration.
- Participate in planning and on schedule completion of approved
prioritized improvement initiatives as assigned.Operational
workflow and system design activities
- Contribute to operational workflow and system design activities
as the subject matter expert for the assigned workflow areas.
- Participate in test plan development and testing the function
of newly produced and updated production tools and software
systems
- Participate in walkthroughs and testing new and updated
operational workflows and processes
- Uses defined operational tools and software systems, following
defined operational workflow and processes to produce work products
that meet defined quality standards according to defined schedules
or standard turn-around times.Staff Training and Mentoring:
- Provide basic day to day operational mentoring and coaching to
new implementation team roles or sales associates as needed.
- May function as an informal lead in more complex workflows or
on special projects.Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the
ability to communicate up, down and across levels of the
organization.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to
detail.
- Strong working knowledge of these systems: Destiny, Salesforce,
Titlewave, One-Span & Oracle.
- Moderate to advanced technical skills with: CSV, MS-Excel,
MS-Access, MS-Word, RIC, Writing Regular Expressions, Create/Update
Batches and Perl. Proficiency in any or all the following
specification standards: MARC21, AACR2, LCRI & Dewey Decimal
classifications, LC Subject & Names Authorities, SEARS Subjects,
RDA, PDF, HTML, XML, txt, dbt
- 3 + years of experience
