qualifications will not be considered. Provide advanced step-down
care for patients being boarded in the Emergency Room, delivering
skilled and compassionate nursing within a dynamic hospital
environment. This contract role supports patient stabilization and
monitoring, focusing on cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, and critical
care cases in a high-acuity ER holding unit. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients in the ER
holding area, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately
1:4-5, adjusting for acuity. Monitor and assess patient conditions
using Spacelabs telemetry monitors; interpret and document rhythms
independently. Collaborate with respiratory therapists (RT) who are
available 24/7 for ABGs, breathing treatments, and advanced airway
support; troubleshoot respiratory equipment as needed. Coordinate
with imaging and transport techs to facilitate timely diagnostics
such as X-rays and CT scans within the ER. Participate in
department-specific orientation during your initial contract week
to ensure smooth transition and competency. Uphold hospital
protocols including dress code in navy scrubs and clinical
standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Georgia or
Compact RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in PCU nursing; alternatively,
1 year PCU plus 1 year in telemetry, ER, or ICU settings.
Successful completion of at least one prior travel nursing
assignment with recent references. Must reside within a 100-mile
radius as per strict facility requirements; a copy of your drivers
