Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The University of Kentucky
Department of Radiology is seeking a board-certified or
board-eligible radiologist to join our growing Breast Imaging
Division. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a
collaborative, education-focused academic environment while also
serving patients across multiple community sites in Central
Kentucky. Radiology | Breast Radiology | University of Kentucky
College of Medicine UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital : The University
of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital is a 569-bed acute care
hospital. It has Central and Eastern Kentucky’s only Level I trauma
center and handles the most severe traumas. It has the only Level 4
neonatal intensive care unit in the area to treat the sickest
infants. The hospital offers 100 intensive care beds, a
post-anesthesia care unit, 17 operating rooms, 14-bed labor and
delivery and 26 mother-baby rooms. The hospital draws upon the
resources of six UK colleges: Medicine, Nursing, Health Sciences,
Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Public Health. PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS Scope
of Practice : 100% breast imaging, including screening and
diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and
image-guided procedures. Practice Locations : UK Chandler Medical
Center in Lexington and affiliated community practice sites.
Facilities & Technology : State-of-the-art breast imaging centers
with dedicated mammography units, ultrasound, MRI, and
stereotactic/tomosynthesis biopsy capability. Support Staff :
Dedicated breast technologists, nurse navigators, and schedulers
who allow radiologists to focus on patient care. Collaboration :
Strong multidisciplinary partnerships with breast surgery,
pathology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. COMPENSATION

welcome both experienced faculty and recent fellows interested in
pursuing a career in academic breast imaging. MD/DO (or equivalent)
and board-certified/board-eligible by the American Board of
Radiology. Subspecialty training and/or experience in breast
imaging, as well as basic procedural skills, are a plus. UK
