Psychiatric Tech Location: Savannah, GA Agency: 22nd Century
Healthcare, Inc. Pay: $20 to $24 per hour Shift Information:
Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 3 Months Start
Date: ASAP About the Position Duration: 03 months with possible
extension Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM and 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM (With
every other weekend) Job Description: Provide basic patient care
and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May
take vital signs. Answers clients call signals. Assists in
administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs,
and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by
a physician or nurse. Bathes, grooms, shave and dresses clients.
Conducts activities for recreation and socialization. Ensures
safety and security of clients. Feeds clients who are unable to
feed themselves. Observes and documents patient data, behavior and
activity. Prepares clients for treatment or examination. Provides
clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of
bed. Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units,
using a wheelchair or stretcher. Receives additional training, as
required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas.
Requirements Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and 2
years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in
psychiatric healthcare is required. Must be able to lift a minimum
of 25 lbs. and have the strength to push and pull and stand for
long periods of time. Documents required: BLS/CPR certification by
AHA
