working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in
Charleston, South Carolina, 29425! Job Title: PICU RN Profession:

13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of
PICU experience preferred License: RN license required
Certifications: BLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Experience with
ECMO and CRRT is preferred - First-time travelers are accepted
Description: This position involves working as a PICU RN in a
pediatric intensive care setting. The RN will work 3x12 hour shifts
from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Holiday work is required if the contract
falls during that period. Weekend coverage includes up to 5 shifts
on weekends, which may include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The
nurse will work in a mixed unit with both ICU and Stepdown
patients; thus, patient ratios may vary from 1:1 to 1:3. Floating
within scope of practice may be required based on facility needs.
The unit offers intensive and intermediate care for pediatric
patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Patients
may require complex therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, renal or
peritoneal dialysis, and other supportive treatments. The staffing
mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit
Secretaries. Supportive services are available, including
Respiratory Therapy and Pediatric Dietitians. Candidates must
submit all requests for time off during the application process.
Previous charge experience is preferred, and the candidate should
be capable of managing challenging patient situations. This
position involves working in a teaching facility with a total
staffed bed capacity to accommodate pediatric patients effectively.
