Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in facility-based and
home-based patient care, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language
Pathology (SLP) Therapy Team Leader to join our multidisciplinary
team. This position involves overseeing the speech therapy program
within our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, as well
as coordinating with home health and hospice services. The SLP
Therapy Team Leader will ensure high standards of care and
effective management of therapist teams, contributing to the
overall recovery and well-being of patients. Manage and supervise a
team of speech-language pathologists and therapy assistants.
Develop and implement therapy programs that meet the needs of
patients, including those with complex communication and swallowing
disorders. Coordinate therapy services with other healthcare
professionals to provide comprehensive care. Conduct performance
evaluations and manage staff development. Ensure compliance with
all federal, state, and local regulations as well as professional
standards. Provide direct patient care as needed and maintain a
patient caseload. Lead quality improvement initiatives within the
speech therapy department. Proven leadership and team management
abilities. Strong knowledge of speech therapy practices and
principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and implement effective therapy programs.
Skilled in staff training and development. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a
Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
