working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Savannah,
Georgia, 31419! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Shift: 12 hours nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar size emergency
department and successful completion of at least 1 previous travel
assignment. License: Must have current nursing license
Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification Must-Have: Must work 2 of 3
holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year’s Eve or Day
Description: Unit opens on October 1. ASAP starts highly preferred.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-5 and will adjust for acuity.
Contracts will go through January 10. Travelers must work at least
6 weekend days/nights in a 6-week schedule, equivalent to every
other weekend. No call or standby requirement. No floating
requirements. Scrub color is navy. Unit-specific orientation occurs
during the first week of the contract. Emergency department has an
average of 120 patients treated per day. Common diagnoses include
cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, and critical care patients. Emergency
department staff consists of ED physicians, physician assistants,
and nurse practitioners. Charge nurse does not have an assignment.
Nurse aides, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters are available.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Respiratory therapists
complete ABGs and breathing treatments upon request. X-ray and CT
services are available in the emergency department with transport
handled by their own techs. Phlebotomy services are not available;
nurses will draw labs. Self-scheduling is allowed when the schedule
is open and will be balanced to fit the needs of the department.
Holiday requirements are based on departmental needs. Monitor
technicians are not present in the emergency department; RNs are
required to read their own strips and save them into the chart.
