A skilled RN with at least 2 years of experience is needed to support the MS Float Pool at a prominent Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital located in North Charleston, SC. This contract role involves working night shifts, primarily floating between medical-surgical floors at the Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower, providing essential care within a Magnet-designated facility known for clinical excellence. Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) 36 hours per week Weekend coverage required: Minimum of 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule Holiday rotation participation expected Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care across various med-surg units, adhering to established protocols Effectively manage patient care assignments with varying nurse-to-patient ratios dependent on unit Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic charting system Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes Qualifications: Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum two years of recent nursing experience; first-time float pool nurses are welcome to apply Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and varying patient acuity levels Additional Information: Solid royal blue or white tops with royal blue bottoms are required attire Parking permits available for the on-site garage with a nominal registration fee; alternative parking may incur additional charges During hurricane season (JuneNovember), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties Located within a 60-mile radius of North Charleston; local candidates welcomed under specific terms This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking night shift assignments in a highly respected medical center with advanced resources and a supportive team environment.
