Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Columbia, Missouri,
65201! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift:
12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required. License: Must
hold a current nursing license. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS
preferred. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. -
Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6-7 at
night. - Travel experience preferred. - Experience in trauma level
II facility required. - Familiarity with charting systems
preferred. Description: This is a 42-bed unit. Floating is
required. You will be expected to work 50% of holidays. The
essential job functions include the ability to work the assigned
location throughout the contract duration. You must be able to work
substantial time of the assigned shift. Taking call may be
required. Working assigned weekends is necessary. You should expect
to work at least 50 percent of the holidays during the contract.
The daily census is approximately 30 patients. The unit supports
adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is
available from teams such as IV, physical therapy, interpretation
services, radiology, and social services. Common diagnoses include
postoperative orthopedic cases, trauma, orthopedic spine cases,
medicine, and plastics. You should be proficient in skills such as
accessing and managing ports, blood product administration,
chemotherapy administration, and wound care. You will utilize
special equipment like continuous passive motion machines and
ceiling lifts. Floating to various units and patient observer
duties is mandatory. You will be part of a dynamic medical-surgical
