    Requirement:Previous Nursing program director experience of at least 2 years required.
    Summary:The Regional Nursing Program Director shall possess institution-wide responsibility for the general supervision and coordination of all nursing education curricula and programs, including courses, course content and outcomes, accreditation and assessment activities, program reviews, and relations with approval agencies. This position will collaborate with campus nursing directors on personnel, equipment, budget, and facilities. The role involves working with institutional and campus leaders involved in nursing education across Southeastern College campuses and healthcare settings. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to meet the needs of students, faculty, and the healthcare community at five system campuses.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with faculty, program directors, deans, campus presidents, and the Chief Academic and Accreditation Officer to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Identify industry trends, best practices, new technologies, and significant factors for curriculum updates.
  • Participate in budget planning for operational equipment, resources, and training tools.
  • Maintain a strategic nursing plan and oversee all degree levels.
  • Maintain curriculum maps and evaluation plans based on faculty assessments and student outcomes.
  • Evaluate faculty and staff performance and provide feedback.
  • Facilitate departmental meetings to discuss program effectiveness and improvements.
  • Attend curriculum, faculty, and advisory board meetings.
  • Cultivate and evaluate relationships with clinical sites to ensure clinical education effectiveness.
  • Maintain professional development and current knowledge of educational methodologies.
  • Coordinate with the college librarian to keep resources current.
  • Provide backup for faculty and program directors as needed.
  • Identify staffing needs using the staffing model for nursing programs.

    Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities:Reports to the Executive Director and Chief Academic and Accreditation Officer.
    Required Work Hours:A minimum of forty hours per week, with some evening and weekend hours as necessary.
    Competencies:Ability to analyze, interpret, and present information effectively; apply advanced mathematical concepts; define problems and draw valid conclusions.
    Education, Experience, and Training:

    • PhD in Nursing or DNP
    • Current RN licensure in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina
    • At least 3 years of academic leadership experience
    • Minimum 4 years of full-time teaching experience
    • Minimum 5 years of nursing practice experience
    • Familiarity with accreditation processes, preferably ACEN standards
    • 8-10 years of strategic leadership in nursing education

      Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:Valid Driver's License.
      Computer Skills:

      • Microsoft 365
      • Microsoft Excel
      • Microsoft PowerPoint

        Physical Demands:Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds; sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear; stand, walk; occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl.
        Vision Requirements:None specific.
        Work Environment:Moderate noise level typical of an office environment.
