Our Bishop Gadsden at Home Department is seeking CNA/Caregiver team members to provide in home support to clients that promotes independence and mobility with an emphasis on emotional, psychological and social well-being. The successful candidate will have compassion for and the desire to work with the elderly.----

A Typical Day:

• 
  
• Provide personal care for clients, including bathing, showering, shampooing, oral hygiene, skin care, hair care, nail care, dressing, and shaving as needed.
  
• Assist clients with nutritional needs including serving, feeding, and providing proper fluid requirements.
  
• Assist with proper restorative care including range-of motion exercises, proper positioning, and ambulation.
  
• Encourage client independence and optimal level of functioning.
  
• Exercise standard precautions of infection control in all client care.
  
• Exchange client information with supervisor via communications binder.
  
• Launder clients' personal items as needed.
  
• Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor.
  
  What We Look For In A Candidate:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
    
  • Experience in all aspects of long-term care for the elderly required.
    
  • Must be at least 18 years old
    
  • Able to stand, stoop, bend, reach, squat, climb, reach above head, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
    
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
    
  • Willingness to travel to clients throughout Charleston County
    
  • Has reliable transportation to and from James Island.
