Job Description SummaryOur Transplant center serves both Adult
and Pediatric patients offering complete care for those undergoing
organ transplantation, including heart, lung, kidney, liver and
pancreas. The transplant program manager is responsible for
overseeing transplant program and is expected to provide oversight,
have a deep understanding of organ allocation policies,
organ-specific workflows, and manage the day-to-day operations of

DescriptionThe Thoracic Transplant RN Programs Manager reports to
the Director of Ambulatory Services for Transplant. - Under general
supervision, the Transplant Programs Manager is responsible for
multiple programs within the Transplant ICCE. This position
promotes quality care for the specific patient population utilizing
advanced clinical management, consultation, education and research.
This role supervises and provides clinical guidance to staff to
ensure consistent practices, excellent quality care and daily
operational effectiveness. The Transplant Programs Manager develops
and implements clinical pathway guidelines; evaluates outcomes;
coordinates staff development; and assists with departmental
orientation.Education and Minimum Requirements: A minimum of
Bachelors in Nursing with a Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of
Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited school of nursing within
two (2) years of hire. - A minimum of five (5) years of RN nursing
work experience required, with demonstrated leadership experience.
Current South Carolina licensure or compact state required. Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or
AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for
Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Certified Clinical
Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) is preferred.- Extensive knowledge of
Transplant Programs, Organ Allocation, Transplant related polices
preferred. - At least 3 years Transplant related experience

to 50 lbs. of force. (Frequent) Examples include: To transfer a 100
lb. patient that can not assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of
force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required
from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push
a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is
required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability
to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.
(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or
at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate
between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine
distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
