Kept Companies is hiring a District Equipment Mechanic to support multiple locations across South Carolina. Youll be trusted to keep critical equipment running, reduce downtime, and support operations across the region with the tools, vehicle, and autonomy to do the job well. This is a true mechanic role, not general labor. Youll focus on diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance not cleaning or field labor. What Youll Be Doing Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair pressure washers, pumps, small engines, and mechanical systems Perform standard preventative maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs Travel between Kept Companies locations throughout South Carolina Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment meets operating standards Document repairs, PMs, and service work accurately Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety and compliance procedures Company-provided take-home vehicle and company card for fuel, parts, and job-related expenses What Were Looking For High school diploma or GED Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record Must be 21 years of age or older Proven experience as a fleet mechanic, equipment mechanic, small engine mechanic, or similar Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose engines, pumps, and pressure systems Experience with gas and/or diesel-powered equipment preferred Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload Ability to lift 5070 lbs and work outdoors as needed Must pass a background check and DMV record check Preferred (Not Required): ASE certification or formal mechanical training Experience with pressure washing systems or commercial maintenance equipment Benefits (After 90 Days) Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Long-term growth opportunities with a national company Why Mechanics Choose Kept Companies Youre treated like a skilled professional, not general labor Autonomy and trust in your mechanical judgment Regional responsibility without constant micromanagement Stable, full-time work with a growing national organization Compensation details: 27 Hourly Wage PI392d52c98ea5-25448-39494730
