TITLE: Development Coordinator CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Benefit
Eligible SUPERVISOR: Chief Development Officer ORGANIZATIONAL
SUMMARY: The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a
regional disaster and hunger-relief network that brings together
community resources to share tens of millions of pounds of food
with neighbors each year. Our highly collaborative team believes
that empowerment, education and partnerships are key to getting
food into the hands of those who need it most. With the help of 145
partner agencies, nearly 200 school partners and more than ten
thousand volunteers, our day-to-day efforts help feed nearly
100,000 neighbors each month across our 32-county area. We

mission that speaks to you. POSITION SUMMARY: The Development
Coordinator is responsible for supporting key areas in the
development team, including donor database management, coordinating
aspects of special events, assisting with annual campaigns and
major drives, coordinating aspects of giving societies and
providing administrative support for development activities,
nurturing donor relationships to help facilitate the department's
fundraising goals. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Have a bachelor’s degree or
equivalent experience and education Highly organized,
detail-oriented and data-driven Proficient in computer operations
using Microsoft Suite Excellent oral and written communication
skills Proven to be a skilled collaborator Ability to problem-solve
quickly Ability to work with a variety of people and personalities
Ability to respect confidentiality and handle money with integrity
The ideal candidate will be a reliable person who can work well
independently, strategically, and collaborate within a team
environment Be sensitive to the needs of low-income people DUTIES:
Represent the development department and The Food Bank to
supporters and donors through visits via all forms of communication
(in person, phone, video, email, mail). Assist the Donor Relations
Manager with gift entry, portfolio maintenance and overall
cross-training in the donor management system (Donor Perfect).
Assist with scheduling facility tours, presentations, committee
meetings, tax credit tracking and donor appreciation events.
Responsible for coordinating aspects of special events such as set
up, auction preparation, registration etc. Manage the facilitation
of the donor recognition giving societies. Work closely with other
team members on annual fund campaigns and other annual food/fund
drives. Pay rate: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
